Shaun - Rhythm Guitar & Vocals
With his "long blond hair and eyes of blue", Shaun prides himself as being the band’s Bohemian (the rest of the band just call him a hippy!). When not forced into a suit Shaun prefers loose, flowing clothes and we’re told he lives on a narrowboat (or was that a longboat) "somewhere"!
A relative newcomer to the world of live music, Shaun has ‘only’ been playing guitar and singing for just over a decade. He still remembers as a teenager singing into a hairbrush and practising his Elvis impersonation, for which he once won a competition!
While mostly known on the circuit as a solo acoustic player and singer, Shaun has also fronted bands, most notably the rock outfit No Angels.
Quick witted with a joke for almost any occasion, Shaun regularly gives up his time for free playing at charity events, helping to support Cancer Research, Macmillan and St Johns Hospice..
Shaun’s distinctive "gravelly" voice brings another colour to the band’s vocal blend. While he is naturally suited to blues and rock numbers, he can deliver a tender ballad with just as much feeling and has drawn many a tear with his rendition of Cats in the Cradle.
In addition to the guitar Shaun has mastery of a range of instruments: ukulele, banjo, mandolin and various percussion instruments.
Shaun’s music tastes are eclectic and he freely admits to mellowing with age. His favourite 60s artists will always be Elvis, Roy Orbison, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Glen Campbell.
Favourite instrument: Epiphone Wilshire (Antique Ivory)
